AIM Academics Inspiring Minds

After school Programming-

TOPs currently works in conjunction with Warren County Schools through a grant from the TN Department of Education to provide afterschool programming to students at 5 schools in Warren County.

We serve 25-50 students at

Academics Inspiring Minds
  • West Elementary
  • Dibrell Elementary
  • Warren County Middle School
  • Hickory Creek Elementary
  • Bobby Ray Elementary

Funding comes through profits from the Tennessee State Lottery. In November 2002, Tennesseans voted to create a state lottery. The General Assembly established that profits from the lottery go towards specific educational programs: college scholarships, early childhood programs and afterschool programs.

As provided under TCA 49-6-702, one hundred percent (100%) of the monies constituting an unclaimed prize shall be deposited into an afterschool account for the purpose of administering a system of competitive grants and technical assistance for eligible organizations provide afterschool educational programs within TN.

The overall goal of the program is to provide students in TN with enrichment opportunties that reinforce and complement the regular academic program.

We are grateful for the funds we receive to conduct the afterschool programming. Over 200 students in Warren County are benefiting from the program through quality after-school programming.

Resources for staff

This resource includes more than 300 instructional games for teachers and tutors to use in their classrooms. Games are a great way to help students acquire needed knowledge in a comfortable environment while building both academic and social skills. Below are also powerpoints that explain the program, the role of instructional leaders in the program and homework leaders.
